Photographer and sexual activist Tee A. Corinne shares the transcendence of human connection in her early work, Yantras of Womanlove published in 1982. In it, she draws from yantras as diagrammatic depictions of fields of energy to explore sexuality in all its spiritual charge, embracing pleasure in total freedom and acceptance. An extremely rare title.
Condition: When Corinne first approached editors with her project, no one was willing to take the risk with the subject material being deemed to risky for the time. Due to the scarcity of printers willing to work with the artist, the binding of the publication was likely made using the incorrect glue which has led to most existing copies being either very fragile or splitting apart. In this fragility and imperfection lies a striking and important history; a display of an artist persisting in their vision to spread a story of beauty and celebration.
