A Norwegian fairy tale gives its title to East of the Sun, West of the Moon, a collaborative series made between Ahndraya Parlato and her husband Gregory Halpern, shot during the solstices and equinoxes of 2012 and 2013. Anchored to these shifting landmarks, Halpern and Parlato’s photographic dialogue traces the elusive borders of a place that is as realistic as it is impossible.
