This issue’s cover features artwork from Carmen Winant’s ongoing project, My Mother and Eye, which assembles hundreds of stills from films that Carmen and her mother each made as teenagers driving across the United States. True is a photography journal that commissions established and emerging photographers to experiment, create or revisit.
