Designer Holly Titchener brings us this short sleeve t-shirt, inspired by Sylvia Plath’s ‘The Fig Tree’ and paths in life women have been pressured to take - often feeling so immobilised by expectation we fail to start climbing the branches.
The illustration features a fig tree and collaged photographs of actresses from the book “Wicked Women of the Screen” by David Quinlan - where in 9 archetypical female character tropes are explored (mirroring the confines that Plath describes in her excerpt).
A cosy, premium 100% cotton T shirt with black ink printing on front and back. Sustainably screen-printed in the UK by Print Yard Studio.
Quiet Days in Malibu is a project started by designer Holly Titchener that explores female artists focusing primarily on authors and the written word. Creating illustrated and textural interpretations of these worlds by mixing popular culture research and geographical locations.
