Published by design agency WORK, WERK magazine seeks to 'create a resurgence of interest in printed matter'. WERK No.21 is inspired by the works of French designer Martine Bedin, a member of the design collective Memphis-Milano Group. Martine, along with her contemporaries, brought about the postmodern New International Style. Her drawings, sketches and paintings are extensively documented in this issue, presenting an insight into her creative processes. An interview with her is printed across the front and back covers.
Perhaps the most wondrous thing about this issue is its incredibly perfect die-cut pages, which are dyed in bright pastel colours.
