A signed copy of this powerful and yet modestly produced zine from Cafe Royal Books. Homer Sykes has documented British political events, rituals and societal behaviour for decades. This limited edition publication from 2017 features photographs taken in the midst of the Grunwick industrial dispute at a film processing plant in Willesden of 1977. The strike that ensued continued for two years and resulted in a huge number of arrests on the picket line. It was the first time a paramilitary unit was deployed on a strike in Britain and the first time a strike was held largely by an ethnic minority who were supported by unions (previous strikes of this kind in other parts of Britain had resulted in racist confrontation between strikers and white labour union members). NB, a young Harriet Harman can be seen on page 16.
