A beautiful and refined object that mirrors the travel journal genre. Most of us have an image in our minds of what the statues on the island look like, even if we haven’t been there, but this book shows us something different – a personal response to a very spiritual place, at times bathed in rose light, at others receding into the dark spaces of dusk. With a specially commissioned poem by Sean and Seng’s friend, writer Nadifa Mohamed.
Edition of 100 signed and numbered copies. The standard copies have a red cover (80 copies in total). The special edition (remaining 20 copies) has a white cover and is offered with a signed and numbered C-type hand print (see images).
Eyes That Look At The Sky is cloth bound. It is 33 x 42cm, with 22 tipped in photographs on Omnia Natural. It is printed and bound in the UK. Creative direction is by Christopher Simmonds.
