Alasdair McLellan, From Ceremony (2017) *signed limited edition print
In 2006, Alasdair McLellan shot a series that he called Ceremony for Arena HOMME + magazine. The then-editor, his friend Jo-Ann Furniss, had, like McLellan, watched the Queen Mother's funeral in 2002 and been struck by the beauty and grandeur of the horse guards in the ceremony. McLellan notes that many horse guards participate in active military service as well as ceremonial duties.
From Ceremony is signed and numbered on the front and made in an edition of 45 plus 5 APs. The image is 10 x 8", the paper 12 x 10".
Our framed edition is 40/45 and is sprayed pillar box red.
Produced especially for Claire de Rouen to celebrate Here We Are, an exhibition of British photography curated by Lucy Kumara Moore (Director of Claire de Rouen), Christopher Bailey and Alasdair McLellan to celebrate Burberry's September 2017 collections.
