Visitors to the first Claire de Rouen shop at 125 Charing Cross Road will remember that the staircase up to the first floor was lined with Vase wallpaper by French artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz, and the shop has been lucky enough to launch two of his publications; his edition of Flaubert's Madame Bovary (published by Four Corners in 2013), and his illustrated edition of Jean Genet's The Studio of Giacometti (published by Grey Tiger in 2014). Both are sadly sold out, but copies of Chaimowicz's Andy's In Town, which contains writing by Claire de Rouen director Lucy Kumara Moore, have just arrived. This is a book very close to our hearts.
