Munemasa Takahashi, Spinning A Yarn, *SIGNED

Regular price £40.00GBP

Tax included.

A very beautiful Japanese import, recently published in an edition of 700 numbered and signed copies, Spinning a Yarn marks Munemasa Takahashi's first foray into medium format photography. He documents myriad subjects - seemingly disparate but unified by their connection to Takahashi's thoughts on memory.

Spinning a Yarn is 'a mediation on the strange loop of forgetting and recollection...as well as the larger theme of photographs being left behind for future generations.'

Munemasa Takahashi (b.Tokyo, Japan, 1980) graduated from the Nippon Photography Institute Tokyo in 2001. After the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, he became a member of the Salvage Memory project, which returns lost photos to their owners in the town of Yamamoto in Miyagi prefecture, one of the places hit worst by the tsunami.
